Alliant Credit Union (ACU) was developed by the employees of Alliant company in 1933. These employees, listened to the financial needs of their co-workers and chartered the Credit Union to cater to those needs. Depositors were members/owners of ACU.

ACUs board, focuses on needs of it’s members and create services and set rates to meet these needs. It’s staff go out of their way to offer that service and work out the best rate structure for members needs.
The mission of Alliant Credit Union is to deliver exceptional service as well as personalized solutions that helps it’s members achieve their goals.
How Alliant Credit Union Works
Alliant Credit Union is powered by it’s members and has been serving their needs since 1933 Members’ savings create a pool of funds which are used to offer loans at competitive rates. At ACU, deposits are commonly referred to as shares because you actually become a part owner of your credit union. Thus, by carefully investing member savings and offering competitive loan interest rates, the credit union meets operating costs as well generates enough income to pay an attractive dividend.
Members of Alliant Credit Union annually meet to elect the governing body – – the Board of Directors. It is this 11-member board that determines the policies and direction of the credit union, appoints the manager, declares quarterly dividend rates, and sets interest rates on loans. Most of the board’s responsibilities are managed by various committees, Credit, Audit and Finance.
