Skype for Web lets you easily access the Skype platform with your Web browser. You can still sign up for Skype, Sign in, make calls including video calls, connect to your loved ones in one way or the other without your mobile or desktop.

Skype Web offers all the services embedded in the app. I will be showing you how to use Skype on Web in this article, this includes how to create an account, how to sign in and how to find friends on the platform.
How to Use Skype for Web
Follow the steps in the section below to register for an account.
How to sign up for Skype on Web
- progress to their main page at www.skype.com
- Move to the top and click on “sign-in”
- From the pop-up menu, go to the bottom of the menu and click on the blue “sign up” tab.
- On the next screen enter your phone number in the column requesting your phone number. If you don’t want to use your phone number but you want to use your email instead, hit on “Use your email instead” link.
- Presson the “next button” below.
- Create a Password and select on “next”
- Write down your first and last name and select next
- Press on the country region box to select your country/region.
- Type in your date of birth and click on next
- Verify your account using a code that will be sent to you via text or email
- Click on the “Next” button to submit your code.
Howto sign in Online
- Go to the main page at www.skype.com
- Tap on the sign-in button at the top of the page
- From the list select “my account” or “ Skype Login Online” tab
- Righton the sign-in screen input your email, phone number or Skype
- press on the next button it will take you to the page where you will provide your account password, from there you can now access your account.
If you want to login using a security key, do the following
- Still, on the login screen, move down and select “sign in with a security key” link.
- Your device will open a security screen where you will key in your security key, then follow other onscreen directives.
How to find friends
There two different ways you can use to find friends or family members on this platform they are as follows
- Users can find friends and family by importing your existing contacts. Thus, if you have setup already on your Microsoft account, it will outline all your contacts without delay.
- To find people that are not in your contact list, navigate to the Skpesearch box and search using their name or email address.
