HDFC Credit Card Payment. HDFC Credit Card offers two main mediums of payment that customers can use to make their payments with ease and convenience. These are the online and offline modes. Let’s outline each of them and take you through a step-by-step guide on how to make your payment.
HDFC Credit Card Payment
Now, you have more than one medium of making payments. These mediums are secure, fast and convenient. Thus for whatever medium you decide to use you can rest assured that, you are covered on all fronts, and can make payments with peace of mind.
Online Payment Using HDFC Account
This medium offers you four main options to choose from to make your bill payment. Here there are;
Internet Banking
If you want to go the internet banking route, let’s show you how to enjoy seamless online payments:
- If this is the medium you have opted for, you are to log into your account, using your User ID and Password.
- Proceed to the “Cards” section where you can find details of all your credit cards
- Choose the credit card, and tap on “Pay”
- Choose the amount you wish to pay-total outstanding or minimum amount due, else enter a preferred amount.
- Once you pay, the amount will be deducted from the HDFC Bank Savings/Current account and credited into your HDFC Credit Card Account.
This medium is fast, easy, and secure to make online payments.
Via Mobile Banking
If you would rather use the mobile banking medium, you are also secured. Here, let’s show you how:
- Scroll to m.hdfcbank.com on your mobile phone
- Log into your account, using your Customer ID and Password
- Proceed to the “Cards” section where you can find details of all your credit cards
- Choose the credit card and tap on “Pay”.
- Then choose the amount you wish to pay-total outstanding or minimum amount due, else enter a preferred amount.
Immediately you pay, the amount will be deducted from your HDFC Bank Savings/Current account and credited into your HDFC Credit Card Account.
Via Mobile App
If using the mobile app is your style, we will also take you through the process. Here, let’s get started:
- Download HDFC Bank Mobile App
- Login using your Customer ID and Password
- Choose “Credit Card” from the bottom menu. You can find details of all your credit cards here
- Tap on “Credit Card Payment”
- Choose the account via which you want to make the payment and the right card
- Select the amount to be the paid-total outstanding or minimum amount due, else Key in a preferred amount
- Tap on “Pay Bill”.
The amount will be automatically deducted from your HDFC Bank Savings/Current account and credited into your HDFC Credit Card Account.
Via VISA CardPay
If you want to pay via Visa CardPay, let’s get started:
- Log into your account with your Customer ID and Password on the HDFC Internet Banking portal
- Visit the Third Party Funds Transfer button, and choose Visa CardPay
- Key in the sender and receiver details
- Choose the account via which you desire to make payment
- Key in your 16-digit card number and confirm the same
- Then Key in your amount and pay
The amount gets credited within 2 working days. A nominal transaction fee of Rs. 5 applies when you use this method for your bill payment.
Via NEFT (National Electronic Funds Transfer)
If you are paying via the National Electronic Funds Transfer, you can use the following steps to make a payment:
- Sign in to your bank’s net banking portal, using your User ID and Password
- Through the Funds Transfer, choose NEFT
- Visit the “Add Beneficiary” section. Key in your credit card number in place of the Beneficiary Account Number, Name on the Card in place of the Beneficiary Name, and IFSC code of the card-issuing branch
- Immediately a beneficiary is successfully added, enter the amount to be paid
- Then review the details, accept the terms and conditions, and pay.
Via Real Time Gross Settlement (RTGS)
This medium is best for those who use their credit cards for large transactions. These individuals can pay at a go using RTGS mode even if they do not hold an HDFC Bank account. All you have to do is activate net banking on your non-HDFC Bank account, and follow the same process as that of NEFT to make payment.
Via Bill Desk
Those who do not hold an HDFC Bank account, can go to the HDFC Credit Card Bill Desk, and make their payment.
- Visit the HDFC Credit Card Bill Desk
- Key in the 16-digit credit card number, email ID as well as the amount to be paid
- Select the bank via which you want to make payment. You will be redirected to the respective bank’s net banking portal
- Then log in using ID and Password
- Authorize the payment by entering the OTP received on your registered mobile number
The payment will be credited into your HDFC Bank credit card account within 3 working days. If this is not the case, you can contact HDFC Credit Card Customer Care for status.
Via Non-HDFC Bank’s Website
Those who do not hold an HDFC Bank account can make their credit card bill payment, by logging into the bank’s website using their unique net banking ID and Password and transfer the due amount. The bill payment gets credited to your HDFC Bank account in 2 working days.
Via UPI
Make your HDFC Bank credit card bill payment, using your unique Virtual Payment Address (VPA) by creating it in the HDFC Bank Mobile Banking App. Set this up, using an HDFC as well as a Non-HDFC Bank account. With VPA, you don’t need to share your personal details like account number, IFSC code etc.
Offline Payments
Cash
Pay with cash at any of the HDFC Bank branches in your city. Levy of Rs. 100 per payment applies.
ATM
Pay by depositing money at any of the HDFC Bank ATMs.
Cheque
Pay by dropping your cheque, mentioning the credit card numbers as well as other required details in the drop boxes at their ATMs across India. The payment gets cleared within 3 working days.
Standing Instructions
Register for an Autopay from your HDFC Bank account, to set up standing instructions. The bank deducts either the minimum amount due or the total monthly outstanding amount on your credit card, depending on the instruction you set it up with.
